Now, why have I been singing along to Prince all day? Well it's all Hels Sheridan's fault. She set the Sunday Stamper challenge - Diamonds and Pearls today and that was it. I figured the best way to deal with it was to create a little something to enter, and so...
The starting point was the UTEE fragment created as part of my last Friday Focus. It was coloured with Stream and Red Pepper Alcohol Inks and finished with Treasure Gold gilding wax. The big decision here was to work out what to mount it on.
Tammy Tutterow's tutorial HERE came to my rescue. I altered the colours (DI Peacock Feathers and Bundled Sage) clear embossed a splattered background and used DP Tarnished Brass for the stamping (yippee! my Metallic Paints arrived yesterday!!)
After layering on different white and gold elements and some lace I inked up some die cut leaves and flowers to match. My 'diamonds' are set into the brads at the centre of the flowers and the gold 'pearls' are made from CS Golden Shimmer PVA glue.
So there you have it for today. Don't forget to check out the Nicecrane Designs discount.
Take care of yourselves, hugs Jenny x
