WOYWW 181

Hi all, welcome back. Uber-quick one today as time is a rapidly shrinking commodity today. Today is the day to catch up on workdesks around the World courtesy of Mrs Dunnit and her trusty followers. If you want to join in it's very easy and great fun, so head to the Stamping Ground HERE for the full details. So what is on my workdesk today? Well...

Believe it or not I've had to use the camera flash and my natural light bulb to get a picture worth seeing even though this was taken at 8.30am!! Yep, it's THAT wet, miserable and dark here today. So what am I up to? Struggling would be a bit overdramatic, but the tag hidden under the turquoise cardstock has been 'underway' for three weeks and has foiled me at every turn. Dunno why, and when I post the final version it will make you wonder what all the fuss was about! Conquering it has given me a few embellishments which have 'gone wrong'. Normally these would be binned, but NO, in future I am going to put them in my crafting notebook with notes about what went wrong so I can learn from my mistakes. At some stage I will need to 'alter' the front cover of this notebook and it's working title has now become 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly':) Any other suggestions gratefully received!
OK, time to sign off. I will endeavour to pop by as many fellow WOYWWers workdesks as I can (in between work/taxi service/Governors meeting/dog walking... you get the drift!) Here's hoping your Wednesday is far calmer and much drier. Hugs, Buttons x

  1. Hi there, thanks for letting me peek into your creative world this morning. I hate it when things just don't seem to get going or finished but I'm sure it'll work out in the end!

... the good bad and the ugly sounds ok (actually smiled when read it)but perhaps too too negative? ;)

  5. Nope - wet, grey and disgusting here in Stratford too, and a rapidly rising Avon outside my window! Interesting and brave idea to hang on to the errors - but a great learning tool no doubt... how about What's Not On My Workdesk - a WNOMW book?! Happy WOYWW!

  6. Ooh rather you than us with the dog walking in dreary weather. Don't you hate when you're trying to craft something relatively simple and it turns into the most difficult thing ever?

Love from the bears @#78 this week

  9. Nice busy space there - I also keep all disasters in the hopes that I will look at and remember them to remind me what and why it went wrong but secretly I think its because I am a terrible hoarder and cant throw anything out! Hope your busy day goes ok - seems to have stopped raining here for now.

  12. Your bits and pieces look very interesting and can't wait to see what you come up with.
On the notebook side, mine is serendipity as I quite off get good results by accident - or at least eventually lol, so why not give it a try.

  13. I discovered a while back not to throw anything away- its surprising how your opinion changes over time, and new things you learn mean sometimes you find a way to rescue some 'mistakes'.Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #107

  15. LOL..I like the idea of keeping notes - Mainly because I am the type of person who will make the same errors a few times before finally learning! I am thinking of getting a notebook for planning craft stuff anyway - I am getting so muddled up with planning to make, writing blog, finding challenges, getting the work done as well as managing the things life throws at us....I need somewhere to write it all down - It might drive me crazy in the end but at least I won't forget anything, and I might only end up making a craft mistake just once! 16. We don`t have mistakes we have happy accidents............mmmm!! only sometimes in my case!!! Love the idea of the note book, I would probably mislay that or spill something on it.
Looking forward to your creation which will be fantastic as usual.

  17. I was so new to crafting when I started a few years ago I didn't know what was right or wrong so I never posted in a notebook what went wrong...do things go wrong? Nah just learning experiences about how to pull your buttocks out of the flames and fix it!(maybe)Thanks for visiting my desk and leaving a comment! Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing. 20. Talking of things going wrong I see my two computer covers are under my desk - unfinished! Fed up of them going wrong - feel like throwing them through the window but I like the fabric and they have no more.
I see you decorate tins too. I love playing with things like that.
Don't get excited about the 'thing' on my desk, you will be disappointed - posting it on Friday for AT challenge.
Hugs and Thanks for visiting me, Neet 47 (one day I will be early instead of playing catch up) x
