Sorry everyone! Late for WOYWW today (unforgiveable! :O) It's been a manic morning and I didn't get time to photograph the 'ole workdesk in advance - epic fail. Still better late than never.
In case you are wondering what I'm prattling on about, every Wednesday crafters from around the globe drop in on each other for a catch up/snoop/chat. If you fancy joining in why not pop over to Julia Dunnit's blog HERE to find out more. One of her 'rules' is that we keep it short and sweet, so just a quick one from me. I've almost finished another tag for a 12 Tags of Christmas challenge and it's time to add trimmings. No tidy rolls for me, oh no. I have a shopping bag filled with all sorts of stuff collected over time. This is why I seem to take for ever to finish something which should be quick to do - too much choice and faffing :)) Oh, and there's a bag that big with buttons in too (inherited from my mum)!! Doesn't seem to stop me looking longingly at all sorts of other trimmings on offer out there though. One quick question to answer. Yes, the tubs in the background contain Indigo Blu Mega Flakes. The spray bottles to the right of them came from Wilkinsons (a shop in the UK) and were a real bargin - they hold my own ink spray conncoctions. OK, promised to keep this short so time to go. Thank you to everyone who wished me luck with my new job. I hope that you all get what you need to make you happy in your lives too. Huge hugs to all, Buttons x
I agree, too many choices makes it hard for me to work at a face pace as well. #94
ReplyDeleteWhaddya mean, late? I usually slide in just as the doors close, this is EARLY! Desk looks intriguing...I look forward to seeing the finished item! Wilkinsons have spray bottles? I must check them out! xx Keren
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never indeed... I'm afraid I'm going to be a "never" again this week. I'm in the process of trying to decide which bits of stash I can manage to transport to Stratford on the train. Workdesk chaos, and pretty much no clothes space in the suitcase now!!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
I'm smiling reading this - I can so identify with many of its elements ..."no tidy rolls", "too much choice and faffing", "yet looking longingly at other" .... me to a tee! Nicola x
ReplyDeleteHi Buttons, not joining in this week but just popped by to say hello - and thank you..... Crafty hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteWe have all of our ribbons stuffed in jars, when we want just one the whole lot come out, they're so tangled together!

ReplyDeleteWhat a bag of goodies there on your desk. Too many choices???? yea it does get tin the way at times, but I, for one would rather have too many than not the one I need LOL
ReplyDeleteKrisha #45
That's the desk of a creative person - love your bag of trimmings. I have a plastic box similarly jumbled and crammed which makes it difficult to choose sometimes but it is fun searching
ReplyDeleteHi Buttons - your desk looks mega interesting. Dontchafind the ribbon you want is always right at the bottom? Tell me how do you make your sprays in the Wilkos bottles? Cx
ReplyDeleteA bag full of trimmings i'd be happy to rumage about in there. Happy crafting jill #61
ReplyDeleteOh I resonate with what you say about too much choice, but that's what we give ourselves don't we?
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your tag finished, I've still got 2 to catch up with. So glad I am not the only one with ribbons in a plastic bag lol.
Haven't had time to do WOYWW again this week, had 2 back to back workshops today but lovely ladies.
Take care.
hugs {brenda} xox
Hi Buttons. Loving those ribbons and trimmings. Great workspace too.
ReplyDeleteMy craft space is a bit tidier as I spent a few hours putting things away/ cleaning stamps and mounting stamps etc
Hope to craft tonite and I am going to be selfish on the weekend as Oh is working.
Congratulations on the new job. Is it with the local authority ?

ReplyDeleteWhat a tease you are! I want to reach my hand in and sort through that bag of ribbons LOL Mega Flakes - oh that sounds fun...still haven't done gold leaf. That would likely include me collecting a variety of flakes, paste and applicators! Tks for coming my way.. new job. I missed that will have to go looking but congrats! Sandi #37
ReplyDeleteCongratulations buttons !!!you are one of Tims blogworthy links!!!!!congratulations!!!!!well done love trace. X
ReplyDeleteSo chuffed for you...how cool!
Hi there - and thanks for showing us that delectable bag of ribbons and lace. I am a real sucker for lace and recently found a lace waistcoat I wore years ago (size 10 - groan) that I will never wear again (too old as well as me being way too big). Cannot chop it up and cannot send it to charity. Told my son, it has to be found a good home when I am gone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me - have a lovely weekend.
Hugs, Neet x 43
I am drooling over your bag of trim...I am horrible...I look,at trim, but never buy it...That's something I want to try...
ReplyDeleteHi Buttons, sorry to be visiting so late this week - just busy. I'm loving that bag of gorgeousness - I tidied mine and it's not half as exciting. :o) Happy Wedneday. LOL

ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late....
Short and sweet this week, yes, and I think you speak for all of us when you say about not being able to resist looking at other scraps and trimmings when you've already got a lot... LOL
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Buttons, I could have sworn I commented earlier but seemingly not - must have been a senior moment. Anyways, love your tiny bag of ribbons - just let me loose in it and I'll have it sorted in no time :)) Elizabeth, later than ever, x #75
