Sitting in the eye of a tornado...

Hi everyone and welcome! So here we are, the start of February already and it feels like the World is spinning ever faster. As a rule I stick to sharing my latest projects with you but just for once I've decided to share the smallest fragments of my creative life instead...

First up the latest issue of Craft Stamper magazine will be out at the end of the week and I'm thrilled to be able to share that one of my projects has been featured! That excitement never diminishes however often it happens and I'm deeply indebted to the incredible superwoman that is Trish Latimer for continuing to support my work and that of so many other superb designers. We are SO lucky to have a craft magazine of this quality produced in the UK - thank you to all of you who continue to subscribe/buy your copies and help to keep it in circulation. My project? It was inspired by my travels to Venice - here's a sneek peak (taken from the Craft Stamper blog)...

Next, it's been a ridiculously busy weekend for the folks at IndigoBlu (me included) with the release of 21 brand new stamps(!) 4 ranges of mixed media papers, AND Stencils AND Kits AND even a jewellers grade resin!

In order to show you more and share some amazing ideas for using them Kay Halliwell-sutton and Mike Deakin filmed a video for you; it's available on the IndigoBlu YouTube channel and there's an added bonus - watch it, subscribe to the channel and leave a comment under the video itself and you'll be in the running for a give away of the brand new Elsie and Valerie stamps!!! To see Elsie in action check out my last project HERE.

Not content with just one give away, Kay decided to share the news on the IndigoBlu Facebook page - leave a comment on the relevant post (pinned to the top) before 5pm Saturday 6th February and you'll be in with a chance to win two of the new stamps!!!

It's always a joy to have your work praised by fellow creatives and I was thrilled to be awarded a Top 3 badge by Kim over at Emerald Creek Dares for my Art Chemistry Canvas. Check out their latest challenge and the DT projects; seriously, there's some awesome talent in that team!!!

Meantime it's all go over at Frilly and Funkie - Linda Coughlin is back from the January 2016 CHA show with oodles of products to share with you at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Take a look at the Pre-Orders and New Arrivals sections and you'll see what I mean!!! And the challenge blog team continues to evolve; having already welcomed the fabulous Kathy Clement (Kathy by Design) to the Frilly side of the team in January, we are now beyond excited to introduce the incredible Suzanne Czosek (Suzz's Stamping Spot) to the Funkie side of the team!!! It truly is a blessing and an honour to get to work with such inspirational figures in the creative industry.

So what's next in February? Well in between the power/water going on and off here (bathroom renovations!!!) I'm putting together my latest Step by Step for Frilly and Funkie, figuring out which of the new IndigoBlu stamps to use for the DT blog posts, prepping for three days of demoing at the CHSI Stitches trade show (IndigoBlu/Craft Stamper) and creating new projects for magazines and an exciting new on-line publication.

Then there's some brand new workshop projects of course (I'm already booked to teach at Daisy's Jewels and  Crafts, Coventry on Saturday 5th March - would love to see you there).

So now maybe the title of this post makes more sense - 'sitting in the eye of a tornado' - it's dead calm sat here in the middle whilst everything else swirls around at an alarming rate!!! And that's a seriously exciting place to be!!!

I hope you can join me back here on Wednesday for the reveal of my latest Frilly and Funkie DT project.
Until then, and whatever you're up to, take care of yourselves. Jenny xxx
