Uber quick post. Been at work, and now going out to celebrate MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!
I share this momentous day with my beautiful crafting friend Anne and the super talented Lisa, and the first moon landings!!! What company! There must be others out there too - to all of you, have a wonderful rest of your day and may you have been blessed half as much as I have.
This was made for the latest Make My Monday challenge - and rejected as I didn't think there was enough yellow on it.
It's my Michael Powell stamp (oooh, but I got a couple more today!) and I stamped it on a background that had umpteen layers of ink/water/ink on it. The moon was coloured on top using Wild Honey, which sort of bleached out the purple.
I actually coloured and stamped the image onto four playing cards, which were pieced together. Some elements were coloured with Promarkers, and the for the windows I used the Wild Honey again to look like the building was flooded in indoor lighting.
Having finished the image a little more decoration - die cut vines coloured with violet UTEE and Wild Honey DI marker. It was an attempt at a John Atkinson Grimshaw style - more practice needed and I'll use more colours next time. Right, time is ticking and my OH is looking at his watch and tutting, so I'll be off.
Whatever you are doing, wherever you are, I hope you have a lovely weekend. Sending you all huge hugs, Buttons x
Well, I do not see why you rejected this - it is gorgeous! That is the only MP stamp that I don't have but love how you have used it and love those embossed strikes through it and the colour is divine! Thanks again for your good wishes, you are a truly lovely blog friend. Apart from health issues I feel truly blessed too. Hope you enjoy your evening, we went out for a lovely lunch. Anne xx
