Letter Perfect for Frilly and Funkie

Hi everyone and welcome. Over at the Frilly and Funkie Challenge blog we are at the beginning of a new challenge, 'Letter Perfect'. This is what our host for this challenge, Sara Emily Barker, has to say: "According to Merriam Webster, 'letter perfect' is defined as "correct to the smallest detail". We're not asking you to be immaculate or flawless; we just want to see letters or words on your vintage or shabby chic project. They don't have to be the focus, but be sure we can see them!"

As ever, the Design Team will choose their top four picks, with the winner being invited to join us in a Guest DT spot at Frilly and Funkie and the next three will receive Top 3 badges to display on their blogs. Everyone who enters and follows the rules will be entered into the draw to have the chance to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Trust Your Heart Card

There are relatively few times I can truly say I love one of my projects once it is finished - maybe it's the fact that my attention is already turning to the next one on the list! On this occasion I can honestly say it's a real favourite, one where I really did follow my heart. So you'll see, the words are very much at the centre of this in reality and spirit.

It started with the background where a mix of Marine and White Dina Wakley Media paint was brayered under and over a torn strip of Tim Holtz Ideaology Worn Wallpaper. With Texture Paste stencilling through Tim Holtz Roses Layering Stencil used to define the design lots of die cut Funky Florals #2 were arranged over the top; the florals were die cut from white card painted with more of the Dina Wakley Media paint in coordinating and contrasting colours. I love the detail of these florals when they are added together. They really help to draw the eye in to the Quote Chip words, surrounded by Gumdrop Hearts altered with Alcohol Ink.

The Close Ups

Now here's a couple of close ups so you can see the finished layers in more detail;

That's it for my lace layered card for the current Frilly and Funkie challenge. My talented team mates have also created lots of amazing projects for this challenge so make sure you hop on over and check them out HERE. And remember to link up your own shabby chic or vintage lace projects to be in with a chance of winning one of the fabulous prizes.

Take care of yourselves and get creative!
