Hi all. Welcome to the weekly trip around work desks of the World (no exaggeration there either!) If you want to join in please head HERE to the blog of our glorious leader Julia, where she explains how you go about it. Keeping it short and sweet - here am I on Wednesday morning with a strange glowing ball in the sky outside and a flash of inspiration pulling me through my version of this month's Tim tag. I've had to reorganise to make room on the right for my Melt Pot and heat gun. Then there's an array of inks, stains, cookie cutters, shrink plastic, embossing powder and a playing card stamp all in the process of being used.
I would have shown you this earlier, only I had a small mishap!!! Take one UPVA gold shimmer glue tube with a bunged up nozzle, apply too much pressure and watch it blow up all over your patio windows, curtains, work surface... you get the picture!!! Right, time to get back to it (due at school in an hour!) I promise to do the rounds later on and send you hugs as always in the meantime. Jenny xxx
Love your project, sorry to hear about the exploding tube.

Oh what a lovely desk! I would have liked to have seen the mishap myself. It's always nice to know that other people make mistakes while crafting too, especially when their stuff looks so amazing like yours!

Oh dear, I'm sorry Jenny but that did make me laugh! I know its wrong, but I couldn't help it. I once went to shake a tomato sauce bottle, making the fatal mistake of assuming the last person to use it had put the lid on properly. It was quite a thick sauce, so I lifted it and swung it in an arc- off flew the lid, leaving a trail of tomato sauce across the ceiling, down the wall and all across the floor! The floor was easy to clean, the ceiling not so much- and don't even inquire about the wallpaper, please. What else can you do but laugh about it after? Have a great week, Hugs,xx Shaz #74
ReplyDeleteYour tag is going to be simply wonderful. Love the color!

We've had the blow up effect from mists and stickles, fun isn't it? Your tag is looking great so far. Thanks for visiting the bears this week.
ReplyDeleteOh GASP! That sounds like a beautiful disaster with the glitter. :( Love seeing the peek of your desk. Mine only has a cup of coffee and a big question mark on it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week Jenny.
hugs,
Lisa x
Hi Jenny, oh dear that could have been and probably was a bit of a disaster! Making a mental note not to do the same. Your desk looks very organised and tidy. Have just done my Tim tag, completely improvised as I had so few of the things required...... still, it is good fun. Hugs, Anne x #35
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny I recognised what you were up to immediately. I love Tim's Tag challenge. I have yet to start but I hope to get to mine next week. I can see that I am going to need to improvise a lot as I can't see that I have many of the things on your desk! It is either that or shopping!! ;-) Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 52
ReplyDeleteyour tag is taking shape and looking good. Gosh I can just imagine the mess and the job you would of had cleaning it.

Oh dear - hope the gold shimmer didn't spoil anything. Just pretend it's the new trend!! x Jo
ReplyDeleteA nice neat desk I'd say but looking interesting nonetheless. Sorry to hear about your mishap with the bunged up tube - a little goes a long way sometimes when you don't want it to.
ReplyDeleteNice project coming along. I think I read some where that inks and sprays need to be burped??? Maybe your baby just had an upset tummy?? Tamika #125
ReplyDeleteOh no Jenny, not the exploding glue tube !! It did make me chuckle, but I don't envy you the cleaning up ! Sue C x
ReplyDeleteGood evening, now that looks like you could be making yet another stunning piece of "art"
ReplyDeleteOh! Dear I hope everything cleaned up OK!
I did similar with Cosmic Shimmer glue it went all over my almost finished project. I am not in the habit of using "bad words" but I did on that occasion.
Happy Crafting

Hi Jenny, I am sorry but I laughed when I read this too (although I bet you didnt when you did it). I still have ink spots on my door from when I dropped a bottle of alchohol ink onto the desk when I was about to put the lid on, Looking forward to seeing your finished tag. Hugs Mo x
ReplyDeleteI have such a clear and funny picture of your glitter exploding now! Oops!

Oh dear I'm sure we can all recall a mishap or two. I took the top off my pva glue and banged it down on the table to make it drop down... wrong it exploded out in a fountain over everything including my glasses.
ReplyDeleteAnyway your tag is looking gorgeous, the colour is so rich love the embossed numbers too.
Happy art making
