Hi everyone. Just a quick post tonight to share a card I put together from techniques learned from Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry 102 course. For those of us signed up already the information is coming thick and fast. If you haven't joined in yet there's still time and I can highly recommend it as a way of learning how to get the best out of your Distress media. Some people are choosing to recreate their own versions of the tags (you will have seen one or two by now I suspect!) They are beautiful and I take my hat off to them for working at this pace.
I tend to take things a touch slower to make sure the things I am being shown go in and (more importantly) stay in! But how to then show these? The super talented Terry came to my rescue; she created a couple of gorgeous tags HERE using a combination of techniques, so I decided to take a similar approach - hence the card you see here.
This card uses 'Stamping Resist' for the initial layer, 'Industrial' for the metallic layer (I added DP Fired Brick along with the DP Black Soot for a bit of a twist) 'Mixed Media Layering' for the blue layer and 'Coloured Crackle' for the butterfly border.
I have learned/clarified so many things already on this course, particularly when it comes to Distress Paints, and there's SO much more to come. Can't wait!!
I'll be entering this into;
(Wendy Vecchi 'Yikes Stripes' and 'Flourishes' in the blue border)
So with more lessons waiting I'll love you and leave you.
Take care everyone, hugs, Jenny xxx

This is superb Jenny and what a great way to use the techniques you are learning. Doing a card like this would take me longer than doing the tags, but you know me and how long I take to do a project lol. Well done on getting so may techniques on one beautiful card.

Really brilliant way to get the CC102 techniques into your bloodstream and make them your own... and it looks gorgeous too! I've barely grazed - have watched the first three videos, but not had time to play at all... but I've been keeping half an eye on what the day's work is about each day. I'm going to be playing catch up later, I fear!
