Hi everyone and welcome. As it gets so busy this time of year the Funkie Junkie Boutique team will not be setting a challenge theme or requesting submissions for the final challenge post of the year - in it's place they are sharing some fun festive makes.
I decided to create some fun snowman ornaments with the Eileen Hull Designs Sizzix Scoreboards 'Box, Snowman' Die. The main body was made in a similar way to some previous ornaments (see the post here). This time however I rubbed 'White Pearl' Prima Art Alchemy Metallique Wax over the textured surface of the board before applying a layer of 'Frayed Burlap' Distress Crayon and removing most of it with a wet cloth.
These ornaments are double-sided so once cut they were glued together with a loop of ribbon added at the top. The hats and scarves were painted with Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint (Ruby and Peacock) and everything was edged with 'White Gold' Prima Art Alchemy Metallique Wax. The eyes and 'arms' were painted with Umber Acrylic Paint before being attached.
So that's my take on the 'Festive Fun' theme. For even more inspiration the rest of the Design Team have come up with their own projects for this challenge so make sure you hop on over and check them out HERE.
Thanks for visiting,
Jenny xxx
