Hi everyone and welcome. Thanks for joining us for the Eileen Hull Chapter 2 Release Party and Blog Hop. Today we are sharing the new Folio Journal accessory dies - the 'Card, Waterfall & Tags' and 'Book Binding & Labels' die sets and the new Bigz L 'Camper' 3D ScoreBoards die.
The new 'Card, Waterfall & Tags' and 'Bookbinding & Labels' dies may be designed to work perfectly with the Folio Journal but don't be limited to keeping them in a book - you can also use these elements in different size journals, cards and layouts. Check out all the different ways to use these new dies on our Blog Hop. Click through and leave a comment on each of the designers' posts and be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate in Eileen's Etsy Shop!
Join Eileen and the team on Facebook Live and YouTube Live for an up close and personal look at the team's projects using the new dies (scheduled for 7th April at 12pm noon EST, 5pm UK time). Eileen will also demo how to use the dies during the show. We hope you can join us for this fun event.
For my first project this month I've used the three tags from the 'Card, Waterfall & Tags' die set to decorate the front of my Mandala Collage Folio Journal (you can see the completed pages inside HERE) cutting the tags from different materials to add texture and interest. The largest tag has been cut from the blue background paper that was previously used to create several of the pages inside the folio journal. The 'Mandala' die has been used to cut a stencil for the texture paste pattern sitting on top of that blue tag, and then I've added a circle of faux 'rusted' card over the top.
For the next layer I've used the next tag; the middle sized tag has been cut from corrugated card filled with texture paste, embossing powder and ink to give a rusted effect and sanded back to reveal some of the card beneath. The scalloped edge sitting just beneath it has been cut from the background paper which covers the journal using another of the dies in the same set. There are also strips of lace and fabric on the other side.
Moving down to the smallest of the tags, this one has been cut from vellum and stamped with a Seth Apter stamp from PaperArtsy using Fresco Finish paint. On top are a triple embossed stamped Seth Apter image and one of his Journal Jargon words, repeating the design idea used on the pages inside.
Thank you for joining me here as part of this Eileen Hull Designs Blog Hop and Release Party. Here's the full list of blog hop participants - remember to leave a comment for each designer and you'll be in with a chance to win;
