Hi everyone and welcome back. Hope Friday is treating you well. Life is definitely a real juggling act at the moment, so at least it's warm and light until late in the evening here in this part of the UK. A little something from me today in the form of an ATC.
I got carried away with the combination of a few themes for this.
Hopefully the links to each of these themes should be evident in this ATC. Can you spot the tiny pocket watch above the balloon? Like the fragment of compass in the bottom right it was stamped onto a piece of plain napkin before being layered over the texture underneath with watered down glue.
The base was created in part by using a fragment of UTEE moulded on a Texture Tread, and some Wendy Vecchi texture paste through a cog stencil. These were covered with some Antiqued Bronze Paint, and then came the embossing powder. Copper over parts, gold over others, both then recovered with Distress Walnut Stain for a rusted look. Finally Verdigris was added into the gaps. The balloon was also embossed, this time on to metallic CS dabbed with alcohol inks.
As mentioned in the title, my classic film choice is the 1956 version of Jules Verne's novel which starred a very debonair and dapper David Niven. It has become the source of inspiration for so many globe trotting exploits (including those of Michael Palin) and now for a little ATC from me! I have to say travelling the World is one of my 'if I won the lottery' wishes. Who knows...
Here's hoping you all get a wonderful weekend ahead wherever you are in the World.
Hugs, Jenny xxx
PS. Just found out I got the July Spotlight awarded for this by SanDee and Amelie's Steampunk Challenges!!! Whoopee!!!
