Yes, I am still on the planet (though I'm sure it feels to everyone like we are all caught up in some sort of timewarp, as the days are melting away at a much faster speed than normal!!!) Promise I will catch up on as many of you as possible this evening (after work/a meeting/life stuff) and I will also post a new card to meet another challenge deadline.
Now, the purpose of this post is to catch up on workdesks of the World, so...
In case you are unfamiliar with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday it's a chance to share desks (in various states of disarray!) and catch up with crafting friends all courtesy of Julia Dunnit of Stamping Ground fame (all the details here). So what you see here is an extension of my table (well it's the top of the dog's indoor 'home'!) as I've had to spread out my Christmas bits and pieces to get the final cards finished. There are all sorts of bits and pieces of ephemera 'abandoned' from other projects so I can mess around and get the little grey cells working. At the top is a pile of dies and alongside it a mini sewing machine that a very good crafting friend has lent me to try out before committing to getting one. Just got to work out how to use it later!! There's also a small pile of Christmas templates that came free with a papercrafting magazine years ago - I discovered it by chance after being forced to use cookie cutters and it has been invaluable. So there you have it; a space as muddled as my brain sometimes! Now, Julia likes us to keep it short and sweet, so I'll be off for now and will 'do the rounds' asap. Hugs to everyone, Jenny x

ReplyDeleteLovely bits and bobs to snoop today. Just a quick trip round the desks today - I should really be finishing off my Christmas picture gifts. Enjoy the fun x Jo
ReplyDeleteLoving the gorgeous roses Jenny and that green tag with the wrinkle technique looks amazing. It is good to spread out, but unfortunately we do not have a dog, or space for one so I am using a little bit of the floor at the moment, in some ways I will be glad when I can put the Christmas card making stuff away....... Happy WOYWW, Anne x #21
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. A busy 'extra' workspace. I have given up on making any more Xmas cards (except one for hubby, and one each for his kids - who are 19 and 22 now!). Looking forward to putting the Xmas crafting box away, as then I get more floorspace back. I can also clear the Xmas stamps from the drawer, and make room for more purchases! Ali x #20
ReplyDeleteOoh those roses are lush! Happy Wednesday, :o)

Oh pooh - just wrote huge long comment and it disappeared! So, to repeat: Like everyone else, I love those roses - so glamorously vintage! And I'd love to know how you get on with the sewing machine. Because I love the look of stitching on papers, I got one for myself from The Works for £4.99, but since I'm sewing machine phobic - they break when I sit down at them - so I had to get Laura to thread it for me, and pretty much haven't dared touch it since!

(no WOYWW for me this week...)
Hellooooo from the bears. We've just this minute finished paw writing our cards for Christmas. Your desk looks really busy and fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting us earlier today.
I'm another fan for the roses - lovely!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what cards you made with all those luscious scraps? It all looks very red-green-and-gold Christmassy there. I'm sure the results were beautiful...
My cards were started with enthusiasm, in October, but haven't progressed beyond the initial flurry of activity. I decided to make a set of hand-printed lino-cut cards, in four colours... maybe somewhat ambitious, considering!
And I have some great Christmas dies... why didn't I just use those?
So I am filled with admiration for all the Organised People who have finished their batches of hand made cards - and even written and posted them too!
Off to hide in a corner...
But I loved seeing your gorgeously scrappy desk!
Also love the roses you have a busy and interesting space there. Happy WOYWW Anne x #110
ReplyDeletegreat looking desk! Love color and prints. Great roses too! I had a great time on my cruise but now I am so feeling the crunch of the holiday season. I plan on getting the tree and decorations up by Friday and leaving them till...?? I hope you have your holiday plans more in control then I do! Have a great week! Vickie #3
ReplyDeleteInteresting desk Jenny, and how I would like a rummage in that tray with the lovely roses in it. Do like the card with the circles on it, gorgeous colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the share - Hugs, Neet xx 2
Hi Jenny, lots of fabby stash on your desk this week and, like everyone else noticed the roses straight away....they're awesome.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the mini sewing machine, I love mine but they are a bit noisy but just for doing cards they're great.
Cheers,

Isn't it fun to work with all the left over bits and bobs. Every now and then I clean off the shelf above my work surface and see what I can create from the bits that have collected there! Beautiful roses by the way! Happy WOYWW! Nan 14
ReplyDeleteThe latest card on my blog is made from all those leftover bits, it's fun to challenge yourself to make from random items isn't it, Hope you get all your cards finished in time x
ReplyDeleteHappy {late} WOYWW and Festive season x
