WOYWW 198

Hello out there!!! Time to share what is on my desk this gloomy, miserable, cold Staffordshire morning. Oh yes, it's time to join in the fun at the Stamping Ground where a lovely group of peeps share craft areas in various states of disarray. Want to be a part of it? Just hop over HERE to find out more from the wonderful Julia.

Here's the view of my 'temporary' desk - oh, who am I kidding, I've taken over the whole room so there are piles of stuff on the go everywhere. It's ok though because the boys can still get to the PS/Wii etc. (which is their main concern!) I have as usual got many projects on the go both physically and on my head. The one nearing completion is a set of two cards using digital images and inspiration from a scrapbook layout. I've had an order for 20 cards and have to keep trying to restrain myself to make them look more 'commercial' than grungy/shabby. It's a challenge!! The joy of having saved a ton of bits that didn't quite seem to fit with other projects is that they generally turn out to be absolutely perfect for other things. In the top right hand corner I am also playing with mini book shapes - part of a set of projects in my head. Loads to achieve today, so it's time to stop rattling on and get visiting lots of other desks. Hope you have a great Wednesday, whatever state you are in,
hugs Jenny xxx

  1. Isn't it funny that even when we have a dedicated desk we spread out all over the place. Am sure the boys are happy with the bit of too they have just as long as you don't progress to their bedroom with your crafting.
Nie things on your desk and I look forward to seeing what that coloured image is going to be. Even tried turning my computer upside down to see. Mmmmm...

  4. Hi Jenny, Your desk looks like a 'hive of activity', I have 3 tables but they all have stuff on them, I end up crafting in an area that just fits my craft mat ha ha.
Looking forward to seeing your creations.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  6. Your desk looks waaaaay more productive than mine. Mine is blank, minus the cup of coffee...rather like my brain which needs a most definite kick in the pants for inspiration. Thanks for helping to turn the cogs!

  8. Wow, that looks very well organized, Jenny!

I confess: I couldn't don anything more "commercial" - it would always look as if it wasn't completed or was made quite disorderly... so I stick to "grunge" (always know your weak points!)

    Have a wonderful WW!

Thank you so much for your visit, and your very kind comments on my cog card. Take care Hugs Mo x

  13. There is never enough space to craft in my house. The only trouble is when it needs to be cleared away so that we can eat.
I hope you manage to get your cards finished without getting too grungy, for me that would be hugely difficult!

  17. Had to smile when I read the bit about the boys and the games console - it's the same in my house, but the "boy" in question these days is my husband. Very glad that nothing stops you being creative, too! xxx Keren

  19. Hi Jenny - yup Staffordshire IS cold and miserable today I spent the day in Lichfield with a friend and got totally frozen! I'm very much liking the look of that card you're doing there. I love anything vintage and birdy. Thanks for your visit and I reckon you should mount a sortie in to your boys rooms and nab those Pokemon folders! Hugs MMx #50

Interesting to see what wonders you will manage to create next.
At least you have "desk" I work in the kitchen so everything always has to be tidied away.............Oh! the luxury of being able to walk away and leave something till another day.
    Happy Crafting

  30. Jenny, that order for 20 cards is pretty good. It's hard not to go into assembly line mode if they are to be more-or-less the same. The two on your desk are lovely as much as I can see. The permanently temporary work space doesn't seem to curtail the creativity much. :-)

    Cheers,

  31. It is interesting how we spread out everywhere... a habit of cleaning before I craft..like I can't cook in a dirty kitchen...I can't craft in a messy desk....HOWEVER during that session it looks like a tornado hit the place including the floors.
