WOYWW 195

Woah! Two posts in one day!! Calm down woman, you'll do yourself a mischief!! Truth is I've really missed joining in with WOYWW for the past few weeks but my post op energy levels came crashing down after the initial euphoria (who knew morphine takes a while to get out of your system?!) and made that a challenge too far. However, today the sun is shining, it feels warmer and all is well in the world, so here I am!

As you will spy I am not stood at my normal counter top. Sitting down is an essential at the moment. I'm not apologising for the shadows - it had begun to feel like someone had forgotten to put any money in the meter recently! So what's going on? I've made a couple of ATC's and am in the process of making a background for them - however, by the time they are posted I will have changed direction again! Still, nothing goes in the bin. There's a pile of 'in progress' backgrounds sat behind the butterfly tool box waiting for inspiration to strike. My good crafting friend Patricia has made some fabulous cards recently using bits and pieces that to our joint amazement would have been discarded by others. Patricia, you are not alone! Take a look at the large plastic box by my GC and the little one in front of it full of die cuts and fussy cut elements that need using up! And far right is my version of a spray station - formerly a box containing dog food rolls it now stops said dog getting covered in ink (which pleases her no end:)

OK, enough rambling. I'm off to see what everyone else's desks look like today - if you want to join me (oh, you know it makes sense:) then head on over to Julia's Stamping Ground (the hub for all this excitement and the best place to find out what to do). Here's hoping the sun is shining on you today too. Hugs, Jenny x

  2. Hello there, we're trying to use scraps and ready made embellishments up on cards too, we even used the negative of a die cut on one. As you say, it's amazing what can be used.

Thanks for visiting the bears this week and hoe you're fully recovered soon,

  3. Yay! Where there are shadows there has to be sunshine too!!!! (Really miss it a lot at the moment and could use some rays of sunlight warming me up on the in- and outside).

Love that background you made using that lovely stencil (lol...I always detect some awesome stuff I just HAVE to have, when I visit your workdesk...).

  5. Hi Jenny, I am pleased to report that I can hardly see my screen for the sun shining through my window!! Yay! Mind you, the builders are kicking up a lot of dust so have to keep my window shut. Loving that trellis piece you are working on and well done for using up scraps. Have not joined in this week, too many appointments today. Hope you are listening to your body and relaxing when appropriate. Hate to tell you but it can take weeks before your body recovers from the morphine... but it is a great reason to rest.... Hugs, Anne x

  9. Glad you are enjoying some crafty time and are feeling better -- you've got some intriguing bits and pieces going on your desk. I keep a lot of things, too, but don't do as well using them up! Happy WOYWW from Laura (Who doesn't have a Mr. Linky # at the moment!)

  16. I haven't been on WOYWW for ages but had to peek in and say hello...your desk looks wonderfully busy as always - Hoping you are resting too! - I had morphine post C-section and enjoyed it very much! I was high as a kite for ages (but I like to think most of that bliss was the joy of having had an 11 pound baby boy!!!) ;o) Love and hugs Laura xxxxxxxxx

  20. Bit late returning your visit - didn't get round to any desks yesterday but I'm rareing to go again. Love the sunny desk and feeling quite spring-like myself, back's better today as well so it's wonderful.

You look very busy - afraid I tend to throw a lot of my scraps, except for the really, really pretty pieces from the edges of my sprayed cards that I just know will come in useful some day.
