Time to Celebrate - again!

Welcome back everyone (and if you're new to the blog it's lovely to have your company). My ATC playtime at the weekend took forever - being even more super picky/critical means everything is taking far longer than it probably needs to, but at least I'm still learning loads and enjoying the process. Fun with ATC's is celebrating it's 3rd birthday and has organised some fantastic prizes/a blog hop alongside their 'celebrate' themed challenge - this was way too much temptation, so I had to join in.

Not one, but two of them! And you can tell that my thoughts of celebration centred on a bottle or two of something alcoholic. To be honest I'd rather have a glass of Baileys but that wasn't going to work as well.

Some brief 'how to's' for the background - various green distress inks added and then spritzed/blotted with water. Embossing highlighted with more distress ink and a touch of Indigo Treasure Gold on the edges. Finally some ivy leaves stamped on top with a touch more water spritzing to reduce the sharpness.

The vine is simple cotton cord soaked in ink and rubbed with the same Indigo Treasure Gold. The leaves were stamped onto brown wrapping paper and then clear embossed.

Like the bottles? They are made from shrink plastic which has been inked on the reverse and then had clear Rock Candy Crackle Glaze/DS Antique Bronze brushed on top. The TH stamp was added to the background and then overstamped onto the bottles with archival ink.

The grapes were made by putting dots of gold Pearlidoodles onto card and allowing them to dry thoroughly. They can then be coloured with alcohol ink or (in this case) Promarkers. They can then be cut away from the card and glued into place. Finally the word celebrate was stamped onto a distressed edge piece of card which also got a coating in clear Rock Candy Crackle Glaze, and was again overstamped to match the base.

Unfortunately the lack of decent light has prevented the sheen on the edges of each ATC doesn't show up in these photos but to be honest I was just grateful today that they came out at all (don't get me started on the weather!!!)  Hope you've got something from seeing these - how about the urge to enter the challenge yourself? The prizes really are worth it.

Huge thanks to those of you kind enough to leave comments (I've had to resort to moderating them as a result of receiving so much 'junk mail') and I'm trying to keep on top of replying to them where possible. In the meantime please take care of yourselves. Hugs, Jenny x
