Spritz and Flick, Yes, Distress, Definitely!!!

Back again! (told you I was on a mission today). Normally I try not to post more than once a day but as I said before, deadlines wait for no crafter and there is another one looming. I have missed a couple of Linda Ledbetter's Studio Compendium of Curiosities 2 challenges and was determind to enter this one - Spritz and Flick Distress. For anyone who hasn't seen it Linda challenges us to use a specific technique from T!m Holtz's CC2 book and it's week 13 already, sponsored by Simon Says Stamp too!

Now my photography skills are not the best and I've thrown the kitchen sink at this tag (no change there then!) but I promise there is some spritzing and flicking in there somewhere...

It sort of shows up here but as I chose to use Walnut Stain DI, emboss and rub over with Crimson Brilliance it wasn't going to be as  blotchy as it can get I guess.

Again, blurred image, sorry:( but hopefully you can see the texture in the metal foil flowers (alcohol ink, embossed, raspberry UTEE and a lot of heat to distress them).

A couple of tags to finish, including a silver die cut charm with gloss flower image (really, it is!) This was definitely another one of those 'learn from it' projects, which presumably is what you are supposed to do with each challenge. Anyway, promise to leave you all in peace now, as there are two projects on the go, nine in my head (probably why I can't remember much else!) and the small matter of a school run.  Nearly finished those too!! Yippee!!!

Thanks to all my followers, new and old for dropping by and thank you for your comments. It really helps to get feedback and lovely to think you have taken the time to do it. Hugs, Buttons x

  1. Hi Buttons, I think the spritz and flick technique will always be hard to show up unless you put no embellishment on whatsoever - how boring would that be. My fav bit is the flowers, they have such dimension and love the colour on them and the rest of the tag. I think it is wonderful. A x

  6. Really love this Buttons. I had to check what you'd written twice to see if you mentioned metal - no!! It looks like gorgeous metal tape type work - I'm loving the texture and colours.

  8. We all know you sprtizes and flicked - sounds like something else to a non crafter I'm sure! I agree that is is difficult to see but it most definitely adds to the texture. I love how all you little elements pulled together so well. It's a good way to get rid of the kitchen sink too!
