My Favourite Month

Good morning all and welcome to followers new and old. I do so appreciate your support and encouraging words. So why is July my favourite month? Well for a start it gets slightly less manic at work, then there's the anticipation of crafting goodies for my birthday (a girl can NEVER have enough crafty supplies!) and then I have an announcement tomorrow... so please drop by if you can.

And now it's just got even better! Why? Well I had in mind to post the second to last of hubbie's ATC collection and blow me down if it doesn't fit with Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper challenge theme this week - Silver Dream Machine!!! She's psychic you know as well as being a talented film director!!:))

A brief how to: background stamped with Stampendous cogs in white acrylic paint, covered DTP with Silver Versacolour (which is then rubbed away from the cogs area) then embossed with a Texture Fade folder; a range of antique gold SB sprockets and WRMK gromlets applied; metal foil applied to card in random patches, cut with a SB metal tag die, attacked with a bradle to create rivets, covered in brown and black Promarkers which have then been partially rubbed away; and finally the sentiment (a Sam Poole Art Phrase - surprise, surprise!) black embossed on the tag.

Now I notice that Hels used her Ten Second Studio tools on her project and they add such great texture to her metal. On her latest project Sue the Iron (who has a fantastic blog, well worth a visit) mentioned that she had used Ver Day paints to create a wonderful effect, yet another Ten Second Studio product I believe. Guess which website I'm now off to find?!

So does money, LOL:)) Time for me to disappear to catch up on what others have been up to and be re-inspired by the wealth of talent out there. Thanks for stopping by - please let me know what you think, go on, I can take it!! Hugs, Buttons x

  2. Brilliant piece buttons, I love those cogs and the way you have covered the washers too. I finished a piece for another challenge and coloured my silver metal red (!!) so now I can't use if for Hels' challenge - will just have to make something else.......Crafty hugs, Anne x

  13. You can't go wrong with Steampunk, I always think! I am liking muchly the way you've used the gromlets; I have a significant stash of them and you've inspired me to dig them out and use them on a project!
